Aliens could definitely be among us and we would not even know or be able to realize. It is simply because that is how it could possibly be.
If we were able to look upon a less advanced civilization than ourselves without there knowing about it, then why bother inform them or make them aware?
It is almost like a first world country looking at a third world country do so much nonsense in politics and leaving them to do there nonsense.
Maybe there are no aliens, but we cannot really say that it is impossible.
